Jane Skingley is best known for her dramatic interpretation of seascapes and clouds. She also paints landscapes, birds and flowers. The common thread in her subject matter is a love of the outdoors: and nature and the coastline is a big source of inspiration.

She has exhibited her work at the Royal College of Art, The Royal Society of Marine Artists, Glyndebourne opera house and art fairs in London and New York. Jane began her artistic endeavour at an early age, but apart from studying with the artist Charles McKinnon, she is largely self-taught.

Jane has a degree in Geography from Durham University and went on to have a successful career in public relations before giving this up to paint full time.
