The Waterside Gallery is located in the heart of the beautiful Cornish fishing village of St Mawes, with the most magnificent views overlooking the harbour, St Mawes bay, St Anthony’s lighthouse, the Carrick Headlands and out to sea.

The gallery was established 30 years ago and was taken over by Amanda Selby in 2021. Amanda has been working in St Mawes for the last 20 years and is the Founder and Managing Director of St Mawes Retreats, a luxury holiday house company that she also manages in St Mawes. She has a genuine love of art and has a keen interest in working with, and promoting artists and craftsman. She loves to help clients develop their art collections or complete their room. Unsurprisingly, many of the gallery artists take their inspiration from the sea or are based in Cornwall.

The Waterside Gallery is an exciting and ever changing gallery with contemporary paintings, jewellery, glassware, ceramics, pewter and woodwork from talented artists and designers from Cornwall and throughout the UK. The artwork ranges from small pieces to larger works by established and well-respected artists.

St Mawes is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and located at the end of the Roseland Peninsula and overlooking the Fal Estuary. It is a wonderful place to visit and explore. Places to visit include St Mawes Castle and Lamorran Gardens ( open April -September ) and there is a beautiful coastal walk across National Trust land to St Just in Roseland 13th century church. The St Mawes harbour ferry operates throughout the year and is a scenic boat trip across to Falmouth.

St Mawes is a mecca for water sports enthusiasts with crystal clear waters and activities such as sailing, kayaking, swimming, SUP, windsurfing and fishing.
