Painter David Beatson

David is a full time British artist living in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. His inspiration is taken from the vivid colours, unique light and rugged landscapes of the British Isles, especially Cornwall and nearby Peak District. More recently completing some paintings solely outdoors from life “en plein air”. David enjoys the flexibility and consistency of oils to create his artwork, using spontaneous expressive strokes with a rich palette of striking colour, his aim is to capture the fleeting effects of light and movement in his work.
