In the 1980s Lesley gained a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design. After taking a break from art to raise her family, Lesley returned to Fine Art. Lesley works predominantly in oil & enjoys painting coastal, marine scenes. She loves exploring the abstract quality of water juxtaposed with a solid object.

"The magical atmosphere of small coastal harbours offers endless subject matter and I strive to capture these uniquely British scenes in my painting."

Lesley works both en plein air & in her studio. She is also a regular attendee at the Hesketh Hubbard Life Drawing Society at the Mall Galleries.

Lesley Dabson (RBSA CAS HH), has exhibited with several major societies including; The Royal Society of Marine Artists, The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, The Royal Society of British Artists & The Society of Women Artists. Lesley is an elected member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists; Chelsea Art Society, currently a serving council member; and a member of the Hesketh Hubbard Life Drawing Society.

Her work is in private collections throughout the world. She lives in London & St Ives.
