Miranda is based on the edge of the Cotswolds where she creates paintings exploring the different qualities of line, colour and medium inspired by the rhythms of nature.  She paints and draws simultaneously, adding, concealing and revealing lines and gestures like a conversation. The marks speak to each other, leading the eye through the painting, inviting the viewer to participate in their own personal interpretation.

"I paint by letting go of expectations and allowing my materials to take the lead. Each painting has its own path and the end point is only clear when the balance of light, colour, line and shape are in harmony.

My art is about creating peace and balance amidst the chaos of everyday life. I feel a sense of tranquillity and power in wide open spaces in nature, and these are often the inspiration for my work. The finished pieces are both calming and energising and can provide a focus for peace and reflection."
